Краткая справка
Один из лучших новых университетов Великобритании. Был основан в 1843 году как Coventry College of Design. Университет Ковентри был признан лучшим современным университетом Великобритании (Modern University of the Year) по версиии газеты The Times 3 года подряд – в 2014, 2015 и 2016 годах.
Главный кампус университета находится в самом сердце Англии - в городе Ковентри, в 40 км от которого расположен второй крупнейший город Великобритании – Бирмингем. В 2010 году в деловой части Лондона был открыт второй кампус университета, который предлагает широкий выбор программ в области бизнеса, управления и индустрии моды. А с сентября 2016 года работает и третий кампус – Scarborough, который расположен на побережье Северного моря.
На данный момент в университете учится более 27 000 студентов из разных стран мира, но основной контингент (67%) составляют британцы. Ковентри ориентирован на увеличение числа студентов, в том числе и из стран Евросоюза.
Университет Ковентри предлагает широкий выбор программ бакалавра и магистратуры: от инженерии до бухгалтерии и финансов, от диетологии до автомобильного дизайна. Университет делится на 4 факультета: Coventry School of Art and Design, Faculty of Business, Environment and Society, Faculty of Engineering and Computing и Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
Университет Ковентри оборудован по последнему слову техники: обширные компьютерные классы, симуляторы полетов, аэродинамическая труба, большая библиотека (работает круглосуточно), а также в 2014 году на факультете бизнеса был открыт симулятор биржевой торговли, который является крупнейшим учебным симулятором в Европе.
В 2014 году 94% выпускников Coventry University нашли работу или продолжили обучение на программах магистратуры и докторантуры. Выпускники работают в таких известных международных компаниях как Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, Aston Martin, Land Rover.
